Korean Open: At the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Songpa District, southern Seoul

Ekaterina Alexandrova defeated top-seeded Jelena Ostapenko in straight sets 7-6, 6-0 to win

the Hana Bank Korea Open on Sunday. Both the first and second sets had dramatically different outcomes.

In the first set, which lasted more than an hour, the two players tied six times.

Alexandrova eventually prevailed in the tiebreaker
7-4.However, Ostapenko,

a previous French Open champion, tanked in the second set, giving up her service in the second game

and soon dropping the rest to finish the set without a point.
Ostapenko appeared to have lost her composure

after giving up the first set following a taxing tiebreak and losing her first serve of the second set following two deuces.
